Baby Photo Album
Babies don’t stay babies long. In fact as soon as a baby is born it is important to start a baby photo album filled with pictures taken as soon as the baby enters the world. When a new parent brings a baby home from the hospital they will see that their new bundle of joy has already gone through some changes since they were born. Trust me they really do go through changes almost daily and it is not your imagination as a result of sleep deprivation. It is important to take many many baby photos of your little angel.
A great baby picture is a special moment in your child’s history you won’t be able to get back. Some of the special moments that make good baby pictures are their first smile (no it’s not always gas as others want you to believe), the first time time they eat solid food or discover their hands or feet. Awake or asleep babies can make such adorable faces or sleep in the cutest positions. It is not hard to find yourself with a camera in your hand pointed toward your baby almost every minute of every day from the time they are born to the time they start walking.
During the first year many milestones will occur that you will want to record in their baby book. Some of these first include, their first moments in the world, for example if they cried right away or if the doctor had to smack their bottom first. Right after she was born we have a picture of my granddaughter grabbing the side rail of the bassinet they laid her on in the delivery room. She grabbed it and pulled herself over to her side. Some babies were born sucking their thumbs. The best thing about being a parent is seeing the reaction of a baby as they discover things in their new world that we take for granted. Sounds, the television, dogs barking, and movement around them. The way they can sit and look at their hand or feet for hours and not get bored is the greatest thing to watch. A baby memory book is the greatest gift a parent can give a child. As the child grows they will like to look at it from time to time to see what they did and when they did it as a baby.
Many times a baby’s photo album turns into family heirlooms. It is worth the effort now to be able to give that gift to the future generations in your family.
