This article is directed to you younger kids out there looking for cool stuff to get into, without getting in trouble. Bakugan is an exciting cunning edge show and game to get into. Bakugan is a Japanese anime serious made by TMS entertainment and Japan Vistec. The whole project is overlooked by a Mr. Mitsuo Hashimoto. The story focuses on these creatures called Bakugan and all the battle brawlers that posses them. Bakugan premiered in Japan in 2007 and now has a length of fifty one episodes. Nelvana dubbed the series and later aired it on Canadian networks about a year later. The English dubbed version included an extra episode. In the end of 2008 Cartoon Network started to air the series late at night. To go along with the show, sega toys and spin master got together to make a strategy game using magnetic spring loaded miniature figures and metal cards.

There is a brand new Bakugan out called New Vestroia and there is a brand new one coming out in late 2010 called Gundalian Invaders. Kids loved Bakugan the minute that it came out in America. Bakugan is full of cool character models and cool super powers.

The star wars miniatures game is based on the very popular movies. And not surprising the games too have become very popular.  The games are not only highly desired by collectors world wide but the game is also great for Role Play Gamers who enjoy science fiction.  The game works with each player building up their points and having battles between each other. Most people have heard of Dora the Explorer and Go Diego Go, especially if you’re a parent, or grandparent, or someone who is around children a lot.  So if you’re looking for what to give a child (in the preschool age range) for Christmas, why not a Dora the Explorer and Go Diego Go themed toy, or DVD, or other accessory?  They make fun gifts for children that will be played with and treasured for a good while, and while getting ‘brand name’ toys (or anything) is a bit more expensive than generic brand items, Dora the Explorer and Go Diego Go toys are made by Fisher Price, a reputable company that makes durable, good quality items, meaning the toy may well outlast the child’s interest in it, and could be passed along to a younger sibling or friend, or to charity.

Another fun item put out not too long ago is the Go Diego Go 123 board game.  This board game is good for children around 4 yrs up to 6 years and has some educational value in that it teaches children the basics regarding some animals, as well as some counting skills.

And of course we have Dora the Explorer backpacks, shoes and clothes.  There are a wide variety of clothing articles and styles and it goes without saying that this makes a ‘useful’ gift as well as an appreciated one, although many small children do prefer toys and items to ‘play with’ over Christmas.  There are also Dora the Explorer costumes, and while many people think costumes are something to be worn only at Halloween, small children greatly enjoy playing ‘dress up’ and a costume of their favourite DVD character makes a really cool
Christmas present as far as they are concerned.

Another present idea is simply buying the child, or children, one or more Dora the Explorer/Go Diego Go DVD’s.  Each DVD has about four episodes on it, and children enjoy watching their favourite DVD shows again and again (and again and again and again).  In a way, you could call it ‘the gift that keeps on giving’.

And besides the above mentioned items, other options include, but are not limited to: Go Diego Go bath toys, (good for 0-2 years), stickers, stationary, action figures, stuffed figures, sheets, bedspreads, blankets, books, the leapfrog readers (good for children who have just learned to read on their own).  It seems the sky is the limit!

Since 1999 The LEGO Group has been producing licensed Star Wars building block toys.  LEGO building blocks were already a favorite but with the introduction of the Star Wars line of building blocks LEGO has enjoyed a huge crossover of fans from the Star Wars series of films.

Arguably the most popular feature of the Star Wars building block sets are the LEGO Star Wars figures that are included in most sets.  These LEGO mini figures include such popular characters as Anakin Skywalker, Darth Vader, Han Solo and even Luke Skywalker himself.  It can be very thrilling for Star Wars fans to be able to recreate scenes from the popular films.  For instance Darth Vader’s Transformation is a set that includes a LEGO Darth Vader being transformed from a LEGO Anakin Skywalker.  Very cool!

Many of the included Star Wars LEGO mini figures are extremely rare and, therefore, valuable.  An example of a rather rare LEGO Star Wars minifigure is the Jango Fett LEGO minifig that is included with the Jango Fett’s Slave I set.  There are a few different versions of the Slave I starship that Boba Fett and Jango Fett made famous in the films but Jango Fett’s version is pretty rare and fetches prices in the $200-$300 area.  This makes for a very difficult LEGO set to acquire if you do not have the money to spend on your LEGO Star Wars hobby!  Because of this many fans settle for just the inluded minifigures.  The Jango Fett’s Slave I set includes two minifigures, one being Jango Fett himself and the other being a young version of Boba Fett.  These two mini figures combined can sell on auction sites like eBay for as much as $70!  Very expensive for two plastic toy figures but fans love them none the less.

Because of the super high prices some of the LEGO Star Wars sets, many fans are happy with just collecting the LEGO Star Wars figures.

Sometimes cleaning out an attic can bring back a lot of memories.  It is amazing how you can suddenly recall details of times long forgotten.  During a recent cleaning out project on our attic, I was thrown back to the 1980s when I came across some old dolls I thought my mother had thrown away.

The Cabage Patch dolls came out when I was a child and I adored mine!  The original dolls were truly one of a kind and every child wanted one but they were rather expensive at first and I just had to have one. It turned out that I ended up with two! I still remember their names, Duncan and Oily. With their perfect little baby faces, yarn hair, newborn sized bodies and their very own birth certificate they were a hit with both children and adults. My Cabbage Patch dolls had diapers, clothes, strollers, bottles and car seats, and I did take both of them everywhere with me, as well as a diaper bag with their stuff in it! Sure their were other life like dolls on the market but none quite like the Cabage Patch. If I remember correctly there was even a cartoon about them.  Now that I have found my dolls again, I don’t carry them around with me like I did then, they now sit in their strollers or car seats and are carefully watched over to maintain the good condition that they and their belongings are in.

Another favorite that I collected was Strawberry Shortcake.  I had an entire box filled with these.  It turns out that these are quite collectible.  Even more collectible than the Cabbage Patches actually.  Vintage Strawberry Shortcake dolls sell very well on eBay, but I do not know if I’m willing to part with mine.  The memories are too precious.

This whole stroll down memory lane prompted me to do some research and I was surprised to see how many vintage dolls actually get bought and sold every day.  It seems that I’m  not the only one who sees them as a connection to the past.  For me, their biggest value is the memories they hold.

There are three wheels to increase stability and an adjustable handlebar. It is well made and solid and the wheels roll smoothly allowing for gliding if children build up enough momentum. This scooter is a great way to encourage physical exercise in youngsters, outside in the fresh air.

The last and most recent of these Ben 10 toys for the outdoors is this Alien Force scooter. It comes with an interactive wrist band which fires up an alien identifier built onto the handlebars. The electrifying world of extreme sports has taken hold of pop culture over the past decade. Millions of viewers tune into the X-Games each and every year, and they may be watching a brand new sport pretty soon. Powerisers are becoming increasingly popular among young people today, allowing them to challenge gravity and push the limits of physics. These leg-strapped jumping mechanisms go by many names: spring shoes, crazy legs, kangaroo shoes, jumping stilts, fly jumpers, skyrunners, and pogo stilts, among others. Powerisers are a relatively new and low-key item on the market, but are sure to become more common.
The modern design of Powerisers sprang from the blueprint of German inventor Alexander Bock, which was patented in 2003. “Powerbocking” is the most common word used to describe the act of jumping and running with Powerisers and their foreign counterparts (stemming from the inventor’s name).
